Known locally as "A Taste of Aberfoyle" and recently
awarded "Best Place to Eat Out" by Visit Scotland.
Located at the heart of Loch Lomond and Trossachs
National Park. The Forth Inn is a family run Inn, ideally
located for exploring the new National Park and in
particular The Trossachs.
Dinner, Bed and Breakfast
offers available. Inn accommodation is fully en-suite
with 6 rooms available. The bar has the finest selection
of whisky in the area. We are also very close to
Glengoyne distillery. Stirling and Doune castles are
both less than 20 miles from Aberfoyle. The area is
particularly suitable for those who enjoy:
- walking (numerous forest and hill walks close by also
on the Rob Roy way)
- wildlife
- cycling (on sustrans section 7)
- photography (check out
www.PhilCrowderPhotography.co.uk for some local
images)
Along with Callander, Aberfoyle forms the major gateway
to the Trossachs.
Scottish Tourist Board -
The Forth Inn has achieved
EatScotland Entry Standard
the Assessor report Establishment Description
read as follows: "A homely and welcoming stop in Aberfoyle the Forth Inn,
with its open fire and friendly staff, prides itself on offering good
quality produce, sourced locally wherever possible, in both its bar and
restaurant".
Looking for ideas on what to do when you visit
The Trossachs?

Things to do Page

We estimate that this year around 100,000
people will go through the doors of the Forth Inn. Some will be unique
visitors (1st timers) some will coming back for the 'umpteenthtime'. It
will be good to see you.
Trip advisor is going to be the new
'vistanywhere.com' one stop shop, probably replacing visitscotland.com
and a few others in years to come!
We welcome your comments good or bad.
All we ask when reading the comments is that
exceptional for some is average to others, and conversely, bad for some,
is a great night for others!

Were you here in March?...............Check out these

We are looking for 'You Tube' video clips of
The Forth Inn and of the Aberfoyle/Trossachs area, to include on this
site and on the visitaberfoyle.com site.
So here's the deal.... We will give
F.O.C. a meal, lunch or dinner your choice to the provider of any clips
which are deemed suitable for promoting The Forth Inn, so here's a few
ideas....
Go Ape & The Forth Inn
Loch Katrine & The Forth Inn
