Local Information
Aberfoyle is at the heart of Scotland's First National Park. It lies in one of Europe's most beautiful locations at the Southern Edge of the West Highland Fault with Loch Ard, Loch Chon, Loch Arklet and Loch Lomond all lying to the West, LochKatrine, Loch Achray, Loch Drunkie and Loch Venacher to the North and the Lake of Menteith, Scotland's only 'lake' lying to the East.
The village is without doubt the most important gateway to the Trossachs and has something for everyone.
The Western view from the village is dominated by the spectacular rise of Ben Lomond the most Southern of the 250 plus mountains which rise to over 3000 feet. To the South and West are splendid views and trails of The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. This is a must visit venue for any visitor to Scotland.
