Our Very Own Beer Festival 2017
At The Forth Inn, you know we take our Ales seriously. We are the ONLY pub in Aberfoyle that is Cask Marque accredited and during the Summer we have 5 Ales, permanently available at the bar. These change regularly, when it’s gone it’s usually gone for good, to be replaced with another brew from somewhere else in Scotland. It was the accumulation of these Ales that led us to become the 1st Inn/Pub in Scotland to stock ‘ONLY’ Scottish Beers on the bar (Bet you didn’t know that!)
At this Beer Fest, we will “Up the Ante” and go from 5 Ales on the bar to 12 Ales, BUT, we are going to try a few from South of the Border for a wee change, so hope you approve.
If beer is not your drink of choice, don’t worry, be happy, we cater for everyone here!
The Forth Inn bar will be open throughout the festival offering a full bar, so if you or your better half fancy a Gin a Wine or even a Soft Drink then we have that covered too.
There will also be a range of food available to satisfy your hunger pangs – nothing goes better with Beer than Food!.
The Festival will be indoors in The Gathering, just in-case the weather is against us, after all, August was not the best and this will be held in October, we will have Live Music from 1 pm till 7ish
Entry will be £5 which gets you a Souvenir glass & a Brochure (profits will go to Aberfoyle Village People for their help with this event).
All the Ales will be competitively priced on the day.
To obtain your ‘Ales’ you will need to purchase tokens priced at £6 for 5 Tokens. Each token can then be redeemed for 1/2 pt of Ale. Keep your glass, get it refilled by exchanging more tokens and then remember to take the glass home with you!
Fancy Staying over?
We have 6 en-suite rooms available all at a special price for the night of the festival.
You can reserve a room using the link at the top of the page.
We can also provide details of Guest Houses and ‘B&B’s if you would like them.
We are hoping to make this an annual event.
The event has come about after we were approached by Strathard Community Action Plan to host an event that could eventually have ‘Heritage’ or ‘Legacy’.
This event is being made possible, due to the assistance of Aberfoyle Village People & Belhaven Brewery, support for which we are very grateful.
