Pub Photography Studio Location Loch Lomond Area

Once upon a time in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park

Well, it started some time ago, through the missus I met a lady and we were introduced as photographers, specifically landscape togs.

How times move on, the lady, Katie, has become quite prolific at astro and helped set-up a Photography club.

I got an invite via social media to join or at least follow the club and duly obliged. That was my total commitment until Jan 2020.

The club had organised an exhibition I saw it advertised several times and then got a personal invite. I said I would go. It blew me away, so much so that I watched it in total 3 times. I had no idea what they had been up to.

On my way home, I thought I should offer the function room as a possible venue for a club outing, I provided pictures of the room and a few images that I had taken in there and a few suggestions. I got a reply back, we would love to see it and will be over at the weekend.

Ok, I'm a bit slow on the uptake.

About 18 months ago, we started photographing dogs at the pub directly as a marketing opportunity. One day, I was sat in the function room working away waiting on the rep from the brewery. Only to realise that I had an amazing room with a million backdrops already in place, Old pics of Scottish Kings, Fireplaces, Claymores & Chesterfields all I had to do was light it and use it!.

At no point did I ever consider that anyone else would be interested in using it until the exhibition.

Let's be brutal about this, as I said I'm a bit slow at this. In 2019 the external of the building was used in a BBC production called 'Guilt', the locations manager was also shown around the inside, he took a few pics made a few notes and parted with the comment "I won't forget this place" and still the penny didn't drop!.

So, back to the story. They came, they stopped at the door, and both chins hit the floor,"'oh my god" was the exclamation followed quickly by "When can we come".

Katie said that she had a model booked for the following day, any chance we can come here instead, and you can join us for the shoot? The rest, as they say, is history, and these pics are just what happened.

A whole new thought process has began.
